Iverson showed us, why he's The Man in Philly, to sixers management why they keep holding onto to him, to his coach that he made the right decision trading every player except him since he took over, and to Stackhouse why he was the one they sent packing. Gee, that's a lot of questions taken care of, and all that in a single game yesterday. Undeniably The Answer.

His line: 44 points, 5 robberies, 3 boards, 3 dimes. Not only is Iverson scoring-and probably plotting in the back of his mind somewhere to take over Stackhouse or anybody else for the scoring title-he's also leading the league in steals so far this season. Indeed he's one of the best at both ends of the floor. In the 1987-'88 season Michael Jordan was league MVP and Defensive Player of the year while leading the league in scoring and steals.

Now the question is can Iverson face the Kobes, McGradys, Carters of the league and win the game as well as the individual battles, and how far do the Sixers go??? And let's not forget the Knickerbockers are on a mission to prove Patrick was no great loss. The Big Apple's tabloids can quickly stir up a rivalry between the two clubs, and so far only His Airness has gotten the better of the tauntings (sorry Reggie last year was a fluke. Knicks were banged up and should have won one in Indie, even if mistakes and luke are part of the equation. That's why it's called a fluke).

The Dream was in action last night, shaking and baking the Grizzlies for 17 in just 22 minutes in the kitchen. Rudy, sure you've got The Franchise and Cat Mobley but when the Dream is having a flashback you've got to give him more run time.

Isiaah Rider has finally made his debut in the 2000-'01 season. He scored 11 points in the last five minutes of the game against the Nets totaling 24 for the night. Just when the Rock isn't big enough for The Diesel and Kobe to share, J.R now wants his share of the goods.
