Shane Battier according to what I've heard is the most accomplished hoops dude in the draft yet he goes 6th. Talk about doing more than you had to. Shane, Elton Brand says you should've came out when he did. At least you would've lost #1 to him not some high schooler. Personally I expected Eddie Griffin to be #1. Not a great attitude but he can ball. On draft day Earlier on draft day I was at a Radio Shack store. They had NBA.com TV on, showing a recap of the 95 draft. I saw 'Sheed get picked, saw Torontonians pulling hard for Ed O'bannon, but got Stoudamire instead. Today they're all probably wondering who's O'bannon. In that same Shack, one of the sales men was a Clemson student. He predicted Willie Solomon from Clemson to go in the second round. The same sales man informed me that Solomon is known as "Soloman" on the Clemson campus, because on the court he was a one man show. << Back Next >> Back to archive |
