Spur of the moment

The San Antonio Spurs now have the best record in the NBA after defeating the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday. Their record is now 49-20 the Sixers have the same number of loses, but with one less win.

Lately it seems as if Derek anderson, not Tim Duncan, has been the main man on the team, as he's been the high scorer in the last few games, and they're winning.

On guard

If you're a Utah Jazz fan you have to wonder how come Jerry Sloan didn't switch another player instead of John Stockton on Scottie Pippen. Batman torched Stockton for 8 straight 4th quarter points in less than 3 minutes, when the Blazers were rallying from a deficit.

He finished with 25 points, but it was Dale Davis who secured the win with his late pair of free throws. He was fouled after he picked up the ball when pippen lost it.

6 Cavaliers 'n Harmony

The rap group Bone Thugs 'n Harmony once said their favorite NBA team was the Cleveland Cavaliers. Well they would have been proud last night.

6 Cleveland Cavaliers scored in double figure last night in Gund Arena against the Vancouver Grizzlies. However players not in Harmony - not including the entire Grizzlies' squad - were Bimbo Coles, who Mike Bibby started a scuffle with for giving him a flagrant foul, and Matt Harpring who was accidently elbowed in the face by Vancouver's Shareef Abdur-Rahim.

Cavs PG andre Miller scored 15 served 16 platters. It was Cleveland's game 109-95.
