Blocks for rocks

Indeed Keon Clark of the Toronto Raptors had a block for almost everytime the Atlanta Hawks heaved the rock his way. He ended up with 12 blocks, a Raptors record. He also had a chance to record a triple double but his rebounds proved to be the missing link, 8.

Alvin Williams did however with 11 points, 14, assists, and 10 rebounds. The announcers said he did it on a meaningless rebound, but hey it was during the course of the game, and very well legitimate. Not is fault the game is a blow out.

Vince Carter shot 11 for 14 for 29 points, the Hawks trailed at one point by 40 points. Turned out to be a very accurate omen as the final score was 112 to 86.

Redemption

Here it depends who the subject matter is. If it's about the New York Knicks, no redemption occured fom their part as they lost again to the lowly New Jersey Nets.

On the other hand if Stephon Marbury is the topic of interest, redemption was on his agenda. After spewing profane words at Charlie Ward Starbury wanted to hug and make up this time. Well hug he did, make up? I'm not sure he wanted to make up. "Good game" is what he told Charlie the Angel after the game while hugging.

Early summer break

Since Nets F Kenyon Martin broke his leg he's been getting bad breaks from the media (couldn't help myself either, it's magnetic), racking up all these headlines with puns in them . A few are "Early break", "Breaking news", and a lot more.

That's harsh, I mean what's a guy gotta do to get a break? Well I guess no more fastbreaks for him this year, and he can finally get a break from running for that Rookie of the Year award. Unlike Grant Hill he'll probably break a leg to recover as soon as possible.
