<< Back Next >> -------------------- December 24, 2001 See what we wish for the Commisioner, Grant Hill, Stackhouse and others on the holiday wishes article. Kings' dictature Sacramento controlled everything in their game against phoenix. Everyone - except the injured Webber - played. Only 3 players missed scoring in double figures - Scott Pollard Gerald Wallace and Brent Price. Kings win 133-101. With the play of David Robinson so far it's unlikely he'll get the nod for the All-star reserve center. Therefore, yes, Vlade Divac should get the honor once again. As long as the Kings keep instating their dominion over teams, Peja Stojakovic should be included in whatever list of small forwards the Western coaches decide to favor for the all-star game. Games with a jingle There are 2 games on christmas day. Without a doubt I'll be glued to the set. But the teams involved have almost set themselves up to disappoint. Raptors-Knicks isn't what it would have been a couple years ago. The Knicks are getting complacent by taking a backseat before the final buzzer actually rings. The Raptors are not the Juggernaut we expected. At least they're closer to expectations than the Magic. On Lakers-Sixers, word is that Kobe and Shaq are dearly holding onto the trainer's table with a rib and toe problem respectively, but it should be easier for Shaq to become an expert free-throw shooter, than for both of them to miss the game. And well, Iverson's scoring and shot attempts have gone in the opposite direction from his team's wins and his field goal percentage. Vince Carter is promising a surprise on that Christmas day, gotta see what it is. << Back Next >> Back to archive |
