HoopsCorner's end of 2001 NBA resolutions is here. We have a suggestion for each team. Not only would it make us feel better, but it might make an improved league.

Old timer

MJ drops 51 on the Hornets at the age of 38. He played like the way he did back in the old days. The last time he did that was in 1997, 4 seasons ago. Were the Hornets doing something terribly wrong or was he just hotter than Dan Issel's temper.

That makes up for the 6 points against Indiana, but the streak remains broken. On the bright side it won't be topped anytime soon.

The Wizards get back over .500 at 15-14, by winning 107-90.

New beginings in Chi-town

Bill Cartwright was winning his first NBA game as a coach, when Don Nelson was celebrating his 1000th victory.

It's indeed a very new begining for Chicago. They changed coach and last time someone departed the team to be replaced by Bill Cartwright, Chicago started winning Championships.

They would settle for much less this time around, as in just winning more games. Last night Chicago bullied their way to a 103-80 victory over Cleveland. 7 players scored 10 or more points, everyone got to play and everyone scored.

Then again the honey moons always seem perfect.
