<< Back Next >> -------------------- December 31, 2001 HoopsCorner's end of 2001 NBA resolutions is here. Check out resolutions we suggest for each team. On top of the Heat Talk everywhere is that the Miami Heat's head honcho, Pat Riley will resign as coach of the team. What? Why should you accept the winning and not the losing. Aren't they both realities of the game? Personally, I have no idea what would happen, but in his place, I'd just decide to shock everyone and have them see me - like Pat Croce said - with my best suit on, at the NBA lottery. Miami has lost 6 straight, including a loss to Motown last night. Jerry Stackhouse got his scoring done quickly, to finish with 24 in 28 minutes. Propelling Lakers The Lakers have won, once again. Last night it was against the Rockets by 24 (114-90). They no longer look unbeatable, yes. But the only reason is because Daddy is missing from the center of operations. Chances are that they won't break the Bulls' 72-10 record either. They would need some heavy duty rocket boosters for that, in order to get through the second half of the season. Eddie Griffin, A.K.A HoopsCorner's favorite rookie this year, had 17 points and 8 rebounds, Cat Mobley had 18 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds. The Lakers main man (for now), Kobe racked in 11 assists and 16 points. << Back Next >> Back to archive |
