Four chapters of excellence

On today's Wizards and Bucks matchup at the sold out Bradley Center in "Brewtown", the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel lays out a feature story on Michael Jordan.

Michael Hunt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel divides Jordan's career in four parts: "There was Jordan the youngster (1984-'90),...There was Jordan the champion (1991-'93),...There was Jordan the champion II (1995-'98),...And now there is Jordan the elder (2001-?),..."

Deep Texas triangle

The Knicks tasted vengeance last night in Dallas, at the hands of the Mavericks.

After beating the Mavs at their place, they've been bounced around by all 3 Texas teams like a pinball, making them sink lower in the standings. 14-21 record.

Other than the heart-warming assumption that things would probably be normal had Jeff Van Gundy not resigned, it doesn't look like anything is getting better soon.

The team is a high priced vehicle and the coach doesn't have the experience or know how to tweak under its hood to make it go.

Say, Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash are becoming pretty special players. 29 and 10 snatches and 14 and 11 dishes respectively.

Wang Zhizhi in action: 19 minutes, 10 points, 6 rebounds. Don Nelson there's got to be more and we want to see it all.

Dallas 111-89
