Home sweet home

Shareef Abdur-Rahim was making his first return trip to Canada since he was traded out of Vancouver - his former home. The Raptors of Course were already at home.

Shareef had a good game indeed, with 16 rebounds and 26 points, with 14 in the last quarter. Too bad he passed up his chance to finish the kill though. The hawks then lost in overtime 94-91.

Dream and Antonio of Toronto racked up double doubles with 16 points and 11 grabs, and 16 and 13 respectively.

Timberwolves' World

With the Spurs loosing to Philly and Minnesota's win last night, they now lead their division. It might only be for a short break, but we'll see.

Kevin Garnett could always play like he was on top of the world, but this year, Wally Szczerbiak has helped make the team feel on top of it. For someone nicknamed World what do you expect?

Last night, World flexed muscles with the player who (we believe) holds the hoops globe in his palm - and won.

Kobe Bryant: 9-27 for 23 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists. Wally: 10-17 for 34 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Wally put on a show, but Kevin Garnett still had the best overall game: 32 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals, 4 blocks.

Minnesota 120, Los Angeles 102.

The Baron's territory

The Hornets would probably be doing better had Jamal Mashburn not been ailing. But the Hornets don't dwell on that.

They're tugging onto the cape of their Baron. Baron Davis. When Jamal Mashburn comes back and discovers that he's no longer the first option he'll know that he's been out too long.

Against the Clippers last night in Charlotte, Baron eluded a couple defenders to finally lay in the rock for the game winning basket in overtime.

He finished with 19 points, and like Robin Hood, he robbed the Clippers' sultry offense for 5 steals, and relayed the ball to the begging hands of his teammates for 15 assists.

Elton Brand had 22 points and 14 rebounds.

Charlotte 92, Clippers 91

Word (from the L.A times) is that when the Clippers played the Wizards on Tuesday Darius Miles who endorses the Jordan brand, asked the Company's top Honcho when they'd be getting the latest kicks, while the CEO was at the line.
