All hail...the King is back

How many Chicago Bulls defenders does it take to stop the best ever Chicago Bulls player?

5, 10 or so years ago, you'd be given credit for answering "no solution" to that problem. The problem was the solution.

Bulls fans are not necessarily glad it's no longer so, but by the end of the Washington-Chicago game, they might be glad it is so now (if Chicago prevails).

Michael Jordan will get his dues in Chicago, but the fans there do like their team. If it comes down to crunch time, local fans will cheer for the locals.

The Bulls players will go hard at the Wizards, but MJ should know every drill in the book by now. For the Wiz Kids there might not be a better opportunity to score brownie points with the boss than this game.

Go ahead Brendan Haywood show the president how much you care.

The Bulls players have pride on the line, whether MJ goes off or not, win or lose, only a spirited effort will keep the fans from feeling nostalgic.

Game 1

The # 1 team, technically, in last year's playoffs couldn't accomplish what a certain team from the NBA's minor conference accomplished. So much for the greatest post-season series ever.

The consensus #1 team in the NBA is seemingly daring the Spurs to beat them. The Lakers will be sans Shaq for today's game. It might look not a great mission for San Antonio, but the pressure is now on them to beat L.A in the Alamo - no Shaq, no excuses.

It's not easy as that because Kobe Bryant will be in top gear, and unless Steve Smith can find some well hidden motivation, no one can keep Kobe in check on defense and keep him honest on offense.

Bruce Bowen is out. Charles Smith did a fine job on MJ last time, but Jordan is the former best guard. This is the current best guard.

Tim Duncan and David Robinson: we suggest you roam the paint while conditions permit.
