<< Back Next >> -------------------- June 02, 2002 Western finally Flash back to game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference finals between Portland and Los Angeles and you're sure to say the end result was a fluke. That time seems so long ago. The reason why, is because the Lakers are so good, we all tend to forget that even so, they still get their fair share of breaks. Now it's 2002 C.E (current era), with game 7 once again featuring the purple and gold. Just the mere fact that this series was theirs might be enough to overthrow the Kings. Kings Owners, the Maloofs own the Palms casino resort in Las Vegas, but this is one high stakes game they hope their players don't gamble away. On the Lakers' side, for them this is just another formality in order to raise up another banner. The truth as we see it here is that: the Kings can win. Lakers still have their swagger but Coach Phil Jackson has been mute ever since L.A lost at the Staples Center. Zen Master or not, Sacramento has a chance to put Shaquille O'neal out of his injury miseries. For a change, we pick the Kings to do some running and gunning in New Jersey. << Back Next >> Back to archive |
