Breakthrough

The timing is almost a year delayed but the Lakers probably wish San Antonio still kept them waiting for their playoff appointments.

The San Antonio Spurs showed up last night at the Staples Center to play the Lakers. They stayed until the final buzzer to rack up a 'W'.

Tim Duncan even worked a good sweat for a triple double, which he'll never get praised for.

He was good for 27 points, 17 rebpunds 5 assists, and 5 blocks. Spurs Rookie point guard Tony Parker had 9 assists, Malik Rose pulled in 11 rebounds, and Antonio Daniels 14 points.

On the Lakers' side, foul trouble kept Daddy in check. He only dropped in 16. Kobe had 26 points.

The Spurs are, and should be glad about this victory. However, we expect Kobe and Shaq to have ankle and wrist pads, respectively, delivered to the Spurs. Kobe will be shaking them on the floor and Shaq baking them at the tin.

With this win especially since it came in L.A, it seems all the doors have been opened to San Antonio.

Sorry Tim Duncan 10 turnovers will not help make a favorable triple double.
