Former Lakers coach Phil Jackson who famed the triangle offense, apparently seems to run into a wall at the end of each 3peat he accomplishes. With Chicago Michael Jordan retired at the end of the first 3 title run. At the end of the second run management and the team it seems were having disagreements. In L.A maybe the triangle offense magic was over at the end of the 1rst 3peat. Last year the Lakers just weren't themselves. This year however even being the pre-series heavy favorite didn't keep them from going down. You never thought you would see Phil Jackson in such a situation. Maybe if he changed the offense into a pentagon his teams might have 5 title runs. About those 9 championship victories he shares with Red Auerbach? He has a chance to be the sole owner of that record. Now that he's not coaching anymore we believe he might use this time to scout out the next great team and decide to pilot it to new victories.
