How about that Anthony Peeler punch? Just as we predicted there's hardly any word on it. Those emails asking us to check out the ESPN guys' take... We say any other time Kevin Garnett should have retaliated but when your whole season is truncated down to one game you've got to act according to circumstances, and smartly too.

Maybe those guys were just looking for some drama to talk about. That's all I can make of their comments. I mean it was just simple wisdom displayed by Garnett. Who's getting the last laugh now?

Towards the end of the game Sam Cassell (who just happened to be dribling to much) was covered by Doug Christie who ended up stealing the ball and calling a timeout. Sam the man is a defensive expert fighting for his team's survival. Wouldn't you think he was firing on all cylinders and be more careful with the rock?

Though we cheered for the Timberwolves (hooray to Sprewell) it was sad to see the Kings going down. They rose from the bottom and through the roof. Too bad they never once accomplished their ultimate goal. Especially being such a seemingly close knit group of well behaved egos. Certainly (at least not that we know of) not the ones you would have found in Manhattan under the roof of the Garden during the mid 90's.

As far as getting to the NBA finals for the timberwolves, this might be the only finals they attend. Such a dream season and a dream run can give an optimist outlook. But you couldn't consider yourself an NBA fanatic if you weren't at least very hesitant to pick them past the Lakers.
