End of 2001 NBA resolutions

There are more pressing matters than the NBA requiring attention, that we should resolve to tend to. Yet as we all know, it's the little things that make a difference. So desiring for seemingly favorable changes in basketball should go ways to improving other things in life.

Since the NBA is what we know best here, the following are resolutions for each of its teams we'd like to see happen.

Kings - Chris Webber resolving to make the paint his personal fort.

Raptors - Vince Carter will resolve to keep driving to the basket even when being slaughtered. Torontonians will resolve to just be happy for Tracy McGrady.

Sixers - Allen Iverson will resolve to do a better job of gauging his shots.

Lakers - Shaquille O'neal will resolve to make peace with David Robinson, and just turn the other cheek to all his critics.

Clippers - Lamar Odom will leave the green hash alone.

Hawks - Kukoc will resolve to play defense like there was no tomorrow.

Warriors - Antawn Jamison will resolve to not offer excuses and start playing like the player the team tought they were signing to an 8 figure deal.

Celtics - Antoine Walker will resolve to become more of a paint warrior.

Nets - Players will decide to forgive Marbury for writing "All alone 33" on his kicks.

Wizards - They will make a resolution to give Kwame Brown a chance at the Rookie of the year crown.

Magic - They should resolve to "examine a gift horse in the mouth" from now on.

Heat - Pat riley resolving to adopt a new school attitude.

Hornets - Hoops fans in the state of North Carolina will make the resolution to give some loyalty, and dues to the best players in the state. Duke and UNC are successful and legendary, but the Bugs are the best Hoops squad in the land - without regard to respective levels.

Pacers - Austin Croshere resolving to regain the form that earned him his $56 million deal in 2000.

Cavaliers - Andre Miller will resolve to do his best to avoid the fates of past Cleveland stars (Kemp, Price, Daugherty).

Pistons - Stackhouse will resolve to make his fame.

Bulls - They will finally get Benny their mascot, dunking lessons from the Suns' gorilla. Jerry krause will resolve to clear up animosity with Jordan, and ask him advice on sheding away the "corporate bulge".

Jazz - Karl Malone and John Stockton will resolve to become fine hardwood citizens, and see if good things happen to good people.

Spurs - Twin towers will resolve to make it a mission not to let the Diesel Engine, nor flight # 8 from the Lakers fly into the basket come playoff hour.

Mavericks - Tim Hardaway will resolve to dissipate into thin air, all those bitter feelings of Miami and Pat Riley. It was there that he became a Prince.

Timberwolves - Loren Woods will make the resolution to commit himself to the NBA until he's actually not wanted any more. Wonders can happen with enough determination.

Rockets - Eddie Griffin will shed some light on his attitude, if he carried it to the pros with him.

Nuggets - Antonio McDyess will resolve to practice loyalty - even when Jason Kidd drills his ear from New Jersey.

Grizzlies - They will resolve to focus on playing games on the court not in the front office. All those lottery picks and no rookie of the year, or something to brag about?

Trailblazers - They will resolve to play as one. A little mutual trust and respect.

Suns - Googs will resolve to make true peace with Marbury, since he can't seem to get away from him.

Supersonics - Gary Payton will learn to appreciate what he has. Glove take a lesson from the Reignman.

Knicks - Latrell Sprewell will finally decide to clear up all personal and profession related bad blood with P.J Carlesimo for good. The New York Knicks will seek out and chase away the demons that make them idle on offense.

Bucks - George Karl will hire an exorcist to chase away the defense shortening demons, and work on a piece accord with Glen Robinson.

Fans will resolve to vote for all-stars players who are really gutting it out, not players they're fond of.

Isiah rider will make a resolution to be the player he never was if given his 'millionth' chance.

Players will resolve to not take contracts their game can't satisfy, even when the money is too good.

The networks will resolve to show more of the middle of the pack teams.
